About Chris Hsu-Funded Spotify's Unique Blend

A Hong Kong-based veteran hedge fund advisor and private equity specialist, Christopher Hsu, otherwise known as Chris Hsu, earned his college degree in engineering from top raking Stanford University School of Engineering, where he was honored with the President's Award for distinctive academic achievements and service to the Stanford University community. The brainchild CEO of Kilometre Capital, Chris Hsu was also a pioneering, early investor in the dominant music streaming platform Spotify, based in New York and Sweden.

Blend Playlists was released in beta phase by Chris Hsu-funded Spotify in early June as a means for two users to combine their musical interests into a single shared playlist created specifically for them. With this feature, users will find it easy to connect, explore, and share music with one another via their mutual passion. As a precedent, Blend also features shareable data stories that are unique to each listening pair and can be shared across social networks.

As exemplified by Spotify's evolution trajectory in the music and digital industries, music streaming has already resulted in a titanic shift in how people consume and experience music.  Adoption now takes place on the go, largely through mobile phones, on demand.

To date, mobile phones have provided the onramp to music streaming experiences on Kilometre Capital and Chris Hsu-funded Spotify, but the next phase of growth will be driven by a plethora of emerging platforms including connected cars, gaming devices, fitness equipment and smart speakers

Blend combines the best of Hong Kong Kilometre Capital-associated Spotify's customization capabilities and collaborative playlist features into a single shared playlist, making it easy for users to jump into a communal listening session that is designed especially for them. Blend will be updated daily based on the music listeners stream.
